Tobit 13 (KJV)

3 Confess him before the Gentiles, ye children of Israel: for he hath scattered us among them.

6 If ye turn to him with your whole heart, and with your whole mind, and deal uprightly before him, then will he turn unto you, and will not hide his face from you. Therefore see what he will do with you, and confess him with your whole mouth, and praise the Lord of might, and extol (sing the praises of) the everlasting King.   In the land of my captivity do I praise him, and declare his might and majesty to a sinful nation. O ye sinners, turn and do justice before him: who can tell if he will accept you, and have mercy on you?

13 Rejoice and be glad for the children of the just: for they shall be gathered together, and shall bless the Lord of the just.

Romans 14 (KJV)

1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations (arguments).
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

5 One man esteemeth (favors) one day above another: another esteemeth (favors) every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

This scripture above reminds me of those who like to argue about fasting. Who like to argue about when to celebrate Christ's birth and death. Thanksgiving. Who like to tell others how they should honor God. Who like to tell others what God finds more admirable. It is not between them, you and God...it is between you and God. As long as he is being honored. Isn't honoring and worshiping him the whole point? ~ Karmen

7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth (acclaims) any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 But if thy brother be grieved (complaining) with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably (righteously). Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.

19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify (tutor, train) another.
20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Romans 10 (KJV)

1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend (fly, soar, raise) into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

The above (v. 9) is taken out of context.  Just what Satan wants.  The Master of Deception.  People are deceived if they believe that this is all it takes.

[Paul was speaking to Christians.  Jesus' death would be in vain if this was meant for non-believers (those not baptized).  If all we had to do was this, Who would go to Hell? Why would Jesus have to die on the cross?  What's the reason for mercy and grace?]  Read more on this by clicking on this link

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest (clearly shown) unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying (resisting) people.

Believing means to obey. ~ Karmen

1 John 1 (KJV)

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

James 5 (KJV)

5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton (deliberately); ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful (heart-breaking), and of tender mercy.

12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation (the expression of very strong disapproval; censure.).
.

13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent  (having or displaying a passionate intensity.) prayer of a righteous man availeth (help or benefit.) much.

17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Proverbs 28 (KJV)

1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.

4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend (argue) with them.

5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.

6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse (stubborn) in his ways, though he be rich.

9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination (cursed).

10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.

Those who do right don't mind showing their joy, Those who do wrong, hide ~ Karmen

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.

18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse (stubborn) in his ways shall fall at once.

20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.

26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

Romans 10:9 Confess Jesus is Lord and You're Saved? Why Grace? Jesus' Death In Vain?

Romans 10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Paul was speaking to the church in Rome (Christians) already saved.  Not to the unsaved. Epistle [letter] to the Romans.

The book of Romans is the Apostle Paul's masterpiece, a carefully constructed summary of Christian theology. Romans explains God's plan of salvation by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ. Divinely inspired, Paul passed on truths that are followed by believers to this day.

Paul is aware that there is some conflict between Gentile and Jewish Christians in the Roman church, and he addressed those concerns (chapters thirteen and the first half of fourteen). While the Roman church was presumably founded by Jewish Christians, the exile of Jews from Rome in AD 49 by Claudius resulted in Gentile Christians taking leadership positions. ~ Karmen

What does it mean to NOT believe? ABANDON, DENY, DISBELIEVE, DISCARD, DISMISS, DISPUTE, DISREGARD, EXCLUDE, FORGET, IGNORE, NEGLECT, REFUSE, REJECT, DISTRUST

Believe? What is does not mean is to ignore, neglect and refuse to follow the Word of God (The Bible)

What does it mean to believe? Be certain of, be convinced of, fall for, give credence to, have faith in, have no doubt, presume true, swear by, take as gospel, take it, comprehend, conceive, digest, know, perceive, declare, defend, profess, expect, grasp, judge, conclude, credit, lean on, trust

HOW CAN YOU BELIEVE IN THIS:
Romans 10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

AND THEN NOT PRACTICE CHRISTIANITY? What does it mean to have Jesus, Lord your life?

The scripture that is used by so many who believe that they are saved just by confession take this same scripture out of context.  Just what Satan wants.  The Master of Deception.  People are deceived if they believe that this is all it takes.

Paul was speaking to Christians.  Jesus' death would be in vain if this was meant for non-believers (those not baptized).  If all we had to do was this, Who would go to Hell? Why would Jesus have to die on the cross?  What's the reason for mercy and grace?

Disbelief: ABANDON
Disregard, Freedom, Impulse, Recklessness, Thoughtlessness, Unrestraint, Wildness,
Does not sound like fruits of the spirit to me.

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

A Believer must not behave as Galatians 5:19-21
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (Given to or expressing lust) ,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (conflict), emulations (deceit), wrath, strife, seditions (rebellion to those in authority), heresies (dissension),
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings (excessive indulgence in sensual pleasures) and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Disbelief = REJECT:dismiss as inadequate, inappropriate, or not to one's taste.

Mark 7 (KJV)

1 Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Luke 7 (KJV)
30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

John 12 (KJV)
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak

Disbelief = DISPUTE, bickering, brawl, conflict, discord, feud, quarreling, dissension, uproar,

A Believer must not behave as Galatians 5:19-21
All the above are works of the flesh.

Galatians 2 (KJV)
21 I do not frustrate (block) the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
